Medical services are available during regular business hours and a physician is on-site one day per week. For emergency health needs there are many clinics and two hospitals within a ten minute drive of Brentwood. On-site personnel are trained and certified for First Aid including the use of defibrillators. Transportation can be arranged to a clinic or hospital for non life threatening issues.

Providing medical services for a recovery home can be very demanding. Not only do the clients have needs related to their addiction, but they may have a range of medical issues as well. The Medical Department includes 2 nurses (one RPN) and clerical support staff. A Medical Doctor comes in weekly to address any issues. Medical personnel take care of the client's medications, running labs, and any emergency situations that may arise. A client's medication is distributed according to the physician's prescription and is closely monitored. The medical team works closely with the rest of Brentwood's professional staff to ensure that everyone is aware of Client's status.
